release the hounds

some preview shots of the upcoming mod for 2011 FiHS Formula 1 World Championship

2011 FiHS Formula 1 World Championship
The Drivers

Ferrari

RacerScott [1]
Starts: 70
Wins: 14  (WDC 2010)

KoolBrown [16]
Starts:36
Wins: 0

RacerScott is 2010 FiHS Drivers Champion and the man to beat. Koolbrown from Virgin last year gets the other red Italian car.

McLaren

Ricardo Gonzalez [2]
Starts:21
Wins:5

MarkG [22]
Starts: 44
Wins: 0

Last season's runner up Ricardo Gonzalez picks McLaren with MarkG the other ex-Virgin driver completing the British team.

Red Bull

JoshJ81 [3]
Starts: 75
Wins: 8

J Kim [6]
Starts: 29
Wins: 0

Right now it looks like the Austrian team boasts the strongest driver line-up this year. JoshJ was third in the 2010 drivers championship and J Kim has led races and finished on the podium.

Mercedes

Sean Higgins [9]
Starts: 52
Wins: 0

Captain Slow [18]
Starts: 132
Wins: 0

The Germans have the most reliable line-up as they pick-up the two veterans from Williams who maintain their pairing from last year.

Renault

Tim202 [8]
Starts: 45
Wins: 0

Tom101 [23]
Starts: 37
Wins: 0

The French also have a carry-over pair from last season, inheriting last year's USF1 drivers. If I remember right, Tom101 (aka Twrx) could have finished much higher in the point standings if not for some technical problems.

Lotus

Richard Walcott [10]
Starts: 5
Wins: 0

Mat Harto [13]
Starts: 10
Wins: 0

A strong driver pairing for the Malaysian team. These guys came in halfway through the season last year and Richard Walcott still finished in the top ten while Mat Harto wasn't far off and had several podium finishes.

Williams

Stuff [11]
Starts: 10
Wins: 0

Nak [17]
Starts: 16
Wins: 0

Two new drivers for this British team; Stuff had a 2nd place last year while Nak had several points finishes.

Sauber

Kerlan Andrew [-]
Starts: 5
Wins: 0

Brandon Gant [29]
Starts: 4
Wins: 0

The Swiss team will run FiHS newest driver Kerlan Andrew, alongside Brandon Gant, who was a sub driver from last year and going full-time this season.

Force India

Latest Rumors: Force India in negotiations with StevenM (2007 and 2009 FiHS Drivers Champion and 4th last year) and Pete (5th last year and a race winner). If this is a go, this could be the top team of 2011.

Toro Rosso

Jeff Oppenheim [15]
Starts: 31
Wins: 0

Sebastian Scott [25]
Starts: 7
Wins: 0

JeffO returns with the Italian team and picks up Seb Scott who looks to build on his strong form late in the season last year.

Virgin

Glen Thomas [12]
Starts: 10
Wins: 0

Dave Carney [26]
Starts: 1
Wins: 0

The Russian team has two new drivers: Glen Thomas came in midseason last year and started scoring points right away. Dave Carney only ran 1 race last season (I think) and also scored points.

HRT

Lion Heart [-]
Starts: 15
Wins: 7  (WDC 2008)

Alaster [21]
Starts: 33
Wins:0

Lion Heart didn't race last year but is the 2008 FiHS Drivers Champion. And then it's me, Alaster, always last, in the other Spanish car.

*31 drivers participated last season and the number beside the driver name is their rank in the final points tally from 2010.
