The first series to open up this year will also be the last rFactor series hosted on SRO. Dubbed Hasta La Vista rFactor, we will race with Formula BMW cars by iDT Simulations on some of the famous race tracks that come bundled with the rFactor 1 program.
It's funny how I've never driven on any of the tracks on the schedule (except for Montreal). These places have been on my hard disk for years and years and I've never visited any of them. I find that these rFactor default tracks have a consistent visual tone or flavor, a certain mise-en-scene that I've never seen in any of the countless other race tracks that I have run on in rFactor.
I have had a fuzzy and relaxed time with the car during these early testing days. Only certain aspects of car setup can be manipulated, and mostly it is all about fine tuning the performance of the rear suspension. I find the default setup a bit twitchy so the current objective is to find the setup that will plant the back on throttle input but not understeer during high speed sweepers.
